DINK (Denver Independent Comic and Art Expo) is proud to announce that due to high demand additional floor space at the March 25-26, 2016 expo has been opened for exhibitors and comic talent.
Since opening registration in mid-October, DINK has garnered an abundance of applications – both local and national – resulting in an early sell out of the Mezzanine level and surpassing their initial anticipated volume of candidates. In response to the overwhelming interest, additional floor space has been added, and registration for tables has been extended to December 16, 2015.
At this time, the Mezzanine level is sold out and the remaining floor space in the Main Expo Hall is filling up quickly. The addition of the first floor of the Sherman Street Event Center to the expo will create more options at a lower rate, encouraging publishers, artists, zine creators, and vendors of all levels to apply for DINK’s inaugural show.
“It’s inspiring to see the artistic and publishing community support DINK. Their desire to be part of this inaugural expo allows us to open up additional square footage by about 5,000 square feet, ultimately, making for a more inclusive and better show. ” – Charlie LaGreca
In response to the success of the initial application phase, DINK has also announced that they will offer a limited handful of artists, cartoonist, and zine makers a DINK Fellowship. The fellowship program is for those artists who could use the financial support and will grant fellows table space for free at the expo.
DINK will take place March 25-26, 2016 in the historic Sherman Street Event Center with the intention of emphasizing imagination through the community of comics, graphic novels, zines, art, publishers, and fans.
