Lost Cactus | Hopart Publishing
John Hopkins is an illustrator, designer, and writer—and the brains behind Lost Cactus. His caffeine-fueled imagination—and gift for seeing the comically absurd in almost anything—provide the grist for his strip’s plots and extensive backstory. He weaves an eclectic mix of sci-fi, paranormal, and technology-fueled content with cultural, political, and celebrity-focused storylines into his comic strip that has been favorably compared to Pogo and Calvin & Hobbes.
His first anthology, the award-winning ‘Lost Cactus – The First Treasury’ and his new book, ‘Lost Cactus – The Second Treasury,’ are available in bookstores, comics shops and online. Along with the Lost Cactus comics, both treasuries infuse a shared universe of sci-fi short stories, humorous essays, digital paintings, artist sketches and liner notes amongst the comics, which rocket them beyond the typical comics compilation.
The truth isn’t ‘out there,’ it’s at Lost Cactus.
