I grew up during the independent xerox zine explosion of the eighties and independent comics boom of the early nineties. I started making DIY mini-comics throughout high-school and college, and then attended the University of Denver for fine arts. This has obviously shaped the way I approach comics (questioning their concepts and boundaries). I have had both prose and comic short stories published in various award winning and Eisner nominated anthologies. Locally, I’ve had work featured in both the Westword and was named one of Denver’s best cartoonist by the Denver Post. I have continually made comics throughout my life; it’s a vice really (among many). More recently, I have had a short comic story published by Image Comics in “Shutter“. I’m currently and proudly the head cheerleader of the popular non-profit comics organization, Denver Drink & Draw.
