Jaromir Stoll is a comics creator, scholar of comics in India, and Assistant Professor at Columbus College of Art & Design. He is committed to visual storytelling on the ineffable in life – through autobiographical work like My Self (2017) and Dear Denver (2018), as well as the magical realism of Battle the Unicorn (ongoing) and Gen eXed (2017) with J. James McFarland. Shorter works have appeared in The Columbus Scribbler (2018), Blocked: Stories from the World of Online Dating (2018), and Mint’s “The Small Picture” (2015). He also edits and publishes zines and anthologies as Great Bear Comics, including the international DOGS! An Anthology of Comics on Our Canine Companions (2014) and Ursa Antho: An Anthology of Bear Comics (2016). Stoll’s scholarship, meanwhile, has appeared in the International Journal of Comic Art; Marg, A Magazine of the Arts; Cultures of Comics Work; and the Routledge Companion to Comics.
