By exhibiting, you are helping inner city youth!

Before we go any further it’s important that we let you know, not only do we want to host and assist in creating a unique, amazing, independent art show but we also want to make a difference in our community.

Over the next year DINK will partner with several non-profits, such as Denver Drink and Draw and Love Hope Strength, to change lives.

A percentage of proceeds will go directly towards the creation of a one week youth camp (Name TBD) that will send under-served and inner city youth to the mountains of Colorado as a part of an outreach program that is part “Outward Bound” and part “Literacy and Art Education”.

We’ll be releasing more on this very soon.

The Denver Independent Comic & Art Expo is a curated event with limited exhibitor table space. We are committed to providing a strong, diverse, and interesting showcase of talent including independent, small press and zine publishing. Submitting an application does not guarantee a table reservation.

ALL PARTIES ARE WELCOME. This is a show produced with and for the independent spirit and we believe anyone can create art!

What matters most is that you have a willingness and passion for the medium. We don’t necessarily put focus on large print runs or if you have a huge following. (Though we applaud you mightily if you do!) It is our desire to create a show which embraces all that is diverse and interesting, new and different, creative and unique, showcasing an array of talent – traditional and cutting edge, for both the young and old.

The adjudication process will be based on varied criteria serving our mission and vision, so please be sure to fill out the application form completely.

ALL INFORMATION SUBMITTED WILL BE CONFIDENTIAL AND ONLY USED INTERNALLY BY THE DINK TEAM.

Applications for DINK 2016 must be submitted by:
November, 30, 2015

All applications will receive a response before or by:
December 21, 2015

We’re proud of our Colorado Comics and Art Community!

We aspire to serve and support our local crew and friends from downtown Denver to the mountain west to the plains of our great state! Therefore, we are guaranteeing a portion of floor is dedicated to a strong local showing of artists, publishers, and exhibitors.

Please note: In order to be considered for the tables we’ve set aside for the local artists, you will be required to prove state residence of at least one year. If you are local, please make sure you fill out all Colorado-specific fields on the application.

We want EVERYONE to have an equal chance of exhibiting at DINK 2016, which is why a percentage of the tables will be distributed via lottery.  There is a specific box that you can click below to enter the DINK Lottery. Don’t skip it!  There can be only one application PER entry. Entrants who submit multiple applications will be disqualified. DINK reserves the right to refuse and ban any parties from participation that are discovered to be purposefully deceitful.  After our team has fully reviewed and chosen applicants, we will use the automatically assigned application numbers to select the remaining submissions through a random number generator.  The winners of the DINK lottery will be selected after November 30 and announced shortly thereafter.
Gandalf had his brotherhood of Middle Earth and DINK, too, will look to have its own guild of comic makers, animators, artists etc. for the 2016 show.

What is the DINK Fellowship?
The Fellowship is Team DINK’s way of supporting and encouraging those that deserve recognition and or assistance. If chosen an applicant will be awarded a table, FREE OF CHARGE, and spotlighted as a DINK Fellowship member at the show. A very limited number of these complimentary tables will be reserved.

What are the qualifications for the DINK Fellowship?
The only requirement is that you love comics, love making them and/or creating art. It could be your very first time attending a show or you might be a seasoned vet. We welcome all applicants.

We are very proud of the venue for the inaugural DINK Comic and Art Expo. Sherman St. Event Center is a beautiful, historic building that will set the tone for a truly unique experience. The venue consists of multiple floors and, as a result, there are many exhibiting options available in the application.

Applicants may request a half table, a full table, corner tables, or a booth. Please indicate your preferred table options. Upon adjudication, if your selection is not available to your preference we may offer another option.
