Sex Pot Comedy

What’s Sexpot Comedy?

Named one of the Five Funniest Nights in America in GQ’s 2015 Comedy Issue.

Emerging like a giggling phoenix from the ashes of a barroom open-mic, Sexpot Comedy is a multi-platform media enterprise spreading its tenacious tentacles out from the Denver comedy scene and into the world at large.

Founded in 2012 by humor capitalist Andy Juett (T.J. Miller’s Denver, Producer Those Who Can’t/Amazon, Comedy 103.1) and restaurateur/cannabis tycoon Kayvan Khalatbari (Sexy Pizza,Denver Relief, Denver Relief ConsultingCresco Labs, Silver Sage Wellness), Sexpot Comedy is responsible for more than 35 live shows each month in Denver, Chicago and New York, including the self-titled showcase hosted by Andy Juett, which has featured stand-up talent like Kumail Nanjiani, Todd Barry, Sean Patton, Nikki Glaser, Rory Scovel, Andy Kindler, TJ Miller, Nick Thune, as well as members of Grawlix, The Fine Gentleman’s Club and pre-show on-screen hijinks from Denver’s Jim Hickox.

SexpotComedy.com is the home to several podcasts, including “My Dining Room Table with Adam Cayton-Holland,” Matt Knudsen’s “Grabbing Lunch,” pop-culture bacchanal “These Things Matter,” Chicago’s “Arguments and Grievances” and several others. The Sexpot team has also collaborated with filmmakers like The Nix Brothers and Matty O’Connor on projects such as the web series “Glenn Has Idea$,” starring Andy Juett and Andrew Orvedahl and guest starring Adam Cayton-Holland, Rory Scovel, Emily Heller, Chris Fairbanks, Sean Patton and Dan Soder.

Sexpot Comedy aims to be an artist-driven collective of dreamers and schemers, providing a platform for uncensored, provocative humor, free from the moral finger-wagging that often arrives with corporate sponsorship. Co-founders Kayvan Khalatbari and Andy Juett are known rabble rousers of Colorado, injecting a pure dose of Gonzo rebellion into the heart of the politically charged beast known as Denver.
