Kitty & Larissa
Kitty and Larissa are a creative team from Chicago with an eye for engaging visuals, an ear for dialogue, and several other strong storytelling body parts between them. They create from fierce, funny, female points of view. Their sense of humor is more midnight blue than coffee black.
Kitty Curran is a London native based in Chicago, where she makes pretty graphics. Her artwork has been featured on Upworthy, CNN, and The Huffington Post. In her spare time, she works on comics and drinks far too much tea than is healthy. Her recent work can be seen in several Let’s Make Comics! and Northside Comics Collective anthologies.
Larissa Zageris is a writer, filmmaker, and arts educator from Midlothian, IL. Her work has been featured on McSweeney‰Ûªs Internet Tendency, Stereogum, Pitchfork Media, and The Midwest Teen Sex Show. She spends a good deal of her time googling images of Taylor Swift and writing jokes about haunted stables. She is a regular at live lit performances, including The Nerdologues’ Your Stories events.
Together, Kitty and Larissa have created the first in a series of Taylor Swift: Girl Detective books. The project was selected as a Kickstarter “Project We Love,” featured on TIME.com, Bleedingcool.com, and has become a bit of a craze on tumblr. They are currently working on a screenplay, an escape-the-room play, and a parody historical romance novel.
