DINKy Awards Mission

The Dinkys are committed to recognizing excellence and helping to promote independent comics from a diversified group of submissions. We understand the challenges of connecting great work with it’s intended audience and it is our goal to assist in that process. To create a level playing field in which work is judged for its own merits and not the strength of its marketing campaign. All submissions will be evaluated for their own awards by an impartial panel of judges. In so doing we hope to come up with a list of nominees that we can promote to attendees and followers of DINK as well as create a sense of encouragement and community among all independent cartoonists & artists. The Awards Ceremony will be held on Saturday, April 8th at McNichols Civic Center Building.
