Alec Longstreth

Alec Longstreth has been self-publishing his Ignatz Award-winning minicomic Phase 7 since 2002. There are now 23 issues of Phase 7 in print, which have been collected into five books.. The French translation of Alec’s book Basewood won the 2014 Prix Bulles De Cristal award for YA comics. In 2008 Alec was a Fellow at The Center for Cartoon Studies and that same year he joined the CCS faculty where he taught a variety of courses over the next eight years. He now works as the Director of Academic Outreach for CCS. Alec currently lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico with his wife Claire and his daughter Suzanne.
